Takasago opens new Creative Centre in Dubai to enhance regional fragrance innovation

Published:

Takasago International Corporation has inaugurated its new Creative Centre in Dubai, a significant step in the company’s expansion within the Middle East. This facility is designed to enhance fragrance creation by integrating advanced laboratories, thereby aligning Takasago’s global expertise with local cultural insights and consumer preferences.

The opening of the Creative Centre marks a pivotal moment for Takasago, which has been steadily increasing its presence in the region since establishing operations in Dubai in 2015. The new centre aims to cater specifically to the needs of regional customers while also developing fragrances that appeal to a broader audience. “The Middle East is no longer simply one of the fastest-growing fragrance markets in the world. It has become one of perfumery’s most powerful creative forces,” stated Bassel Kouchacji, Managing Director of Fragrance Middle East at Takasago.

Enhancing Regional Fragrance Innovation

Located within Dubai Science Park, the Creative Centre is part of a specialized ecosystem that supports business growth and innovation in the emirate. Marwan Abdulaziz Janahi, Senior Vice President of Dubai Science Park, emphasized the importance of this development, noting that it reflects Dubai’s status as a global hub for business and innovation. The centre will facilitate a continuous exchange of expertise among Takasago’s international network of perfumers, evaluators, scientists, and technical experts.

The inauguration of the Creative Centre coincided with Beautyworld Dubai 2026, where Takasago showcased its latest creative vision through the introduction of 13 new fragrances. This event underscores the company’s commitment to innovation and its strategic focus on the Middle Eastern market, which is increasingly recognized for its unique olfactory traditions.

A Commitment to Local Culture

Takasago’s approach combines its international capabilities with a deep understanding of local cultures and olfactory traditions. This strategy is crucial for developing fragrances that resonate with consumers in the region. The new facility is expected to play a vital role in enhancing Takasago’s ability to innovate and respond to the specific preferences of Middle Eastern customers.

Founded in Japan in 1920, Takasago operates in 28 countries, further solidifying the significance of its Dubai centre within its global research and innovation network. As the company continues to expand its footprint in the Middle East, the Creative Centre is poised to become a key player in the region’s fragrance industry.
