Jazzy prepares for debut album release and major Dublin concert after billion streams

Published:

Irish DJ Jazzy is set to release her debut album and perform at Dublin’s 3Arena, marking a significant milestone in her career. With over a billion streams to her name, Jazzy’s rise in the music industry comes amid concerns about the declining club scene, which she believes is crucial for nurturing new talent.

Starting her journey in Dublin’s club scene with the group Powerful Creative Minds, Jazzy has witnessed a troubling trend: the closure of numerous venues. She notes that the landscape has changed dramatically, stating, “When I first started going out, there was a lot more going on.” According to the Night Time Industries Association, approximately 12 venues are shutting down each month in the UK, with nearly 30% of the nighttime economy lost since the pandemic.

Concerns Over Club Culture

Jazzy expressed her fears about the future of club culture, emphasizing its importance for artists. “There’s definitely a home for dance music on the internet, but club culture is very important and I think that’s something that we need to keep going for sure,” she said. She hopes that the community will come together to support the preservation of nightlife.

Upcoming Album and Personal Growth

As she prepares for her tour across the UK, Jazzy is particularly excited about her performance at the 3Arena, which she describes as the “biggest milestone of my career to date.” The album promises to showcase her signature uplifting sound while also delving into more personal themes. One standout track, “Invisible,” addresses a challenging experience in her career, which she refers to as “like my first ever diss track.” Jazzy aims for her fans to gain deeper insights into her life through her music, stating, “I hope [fans] learn a little bit more about me, because that was one of my goals with the album.”

As Jazzy embarks on this new chapter, her commitment to both her art and the club scene remains evident. The upcoming album and concert not only signify her personal growth but also highlight the ongoing conversation about the future of nightlife in Dublin and beyond.
