Mediclinic Middle East has entered a strategic partnership with Hub71, Abu Dhabi’s global tech ecosystem, to enhance healthcare innovation. This collaboration, formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding during the Abu Dhabi Future Health Summit 2026, aims to connect Mediclinic’s clinical expertise with Hub71’s startup community, fostering the development of innovative healthcare technologies.

By joining the Hub71+ Life Sciences ecosystem, Mediclinic Middle East will engage with HealthTech startups to identify collaborative opportunities. The partnership is designed to provide clinical insights and guidance, helping entrepreneurs refine their solutions and explore practical applications within healthcare settings. This initiative is particularly focused on areas such as cancer care, fertility and IVF, musculoskeletal services, chronic disease management, women’s health, and virtual care.

Hein van Eck, CEO of Mediclinic Middle East, emphasized the importance of innovation in healthcare, stating, “Innovation has an important role to play in shaping the future of healthcare, but its real value lies in how it improves the care we deliver to patients.” He noted that the collaboration aims to create opportunities for promising healthcare technologies to be developed and evaluated in real clinical environments, benefiting from direct input from healthcare professionals.

Basma AlBadi AlDhaheri, Head of Growth and Value Creation at Hub71, highlighted the potential of startups to transform healthcare when paired with the right industry partners. She stated, “Our partnership with Mediclinic Middle East will help bridge the gap between innovation and real-world adoption, enabling startups to develop, test and bring innovative healthcare solutions to market.”

As part of this initiative, Mediclinic Middle East will also contribute to mentorship and knowledge-sharing activities, further enhancing the support available to startups within the Hub71+ Life Sciences ecosystem. This partnership not only aims to advance healthcare innovation but also supports Abu Dhabi’s growing life sciences sector.
