Dubai Police officers have engaged with students across the emirate as part of their initiative to promote safety and community trust at the start of the 2026-27 academic year. According to Dubai Police, station directors and their deputies visited various schools, allowing students from diverse Arab and international backgrounds to interact directly with law enforcement.
During these visits, officers addressed students’ questions and discussed important topics such as school safety, positive behaviour, and appropriate responses to various situations both inside and outside school premises. This initiative is part of Dubai Police’s broader School Security programme, which aims to strengthen relationships between police and educational institutions while enhancing safety and traffic awareness among students.
Dubai Police emphasised that direct interaction with officers can foster a better understanding of the police’s role in the community, thereby building trust and communication. Additionally, students and parents received reminders about safety protocols when boarding and disembarking from school buses. Motorists were also urged to exercise caution around schools and adhere to traffic regulations.
As part of ongoing efforts to ensure student safety, Dubai Police announced that further awareness sessions will be conducted for both students and teaching staff throughout the emirate. Increased police patrols around schools during peak times—morning arrivals and afternoon departures—are also being implemented to manage traffic and enhance safety.
This proactive approach by Dubai Police not only aims to educate young people about safety but also seeks to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable engaging with law enforcement. The initiative reflects a commitment to fostering a secure and trusting community for families in Dubai.
