Cairo: Gulf Egypt for Hotels and Tourism, a subsidiary of United Real Estate Company (URC), has announced the launch of a significant integrated lifestyle hospitality destination in Sharm El Sheikh, commemorating its 50 years in the Egyptian market. This ambitious project aims to enhance Egypt’s tourism sector, attract substantial investments, and align with the goals of Egypt Vision 2030 by promoting integrated hospitality offerings and supporting long-term growth in the industry.
Investment and Development Overview
The project, with investments exceeding EGP 20 billion, is set to become one of Sharm El Sheikh’s most unique lifestyle destinations. It will integrate hospitality, residential living, wellness, entertainment, and leisure experiences within a master-planned development covering approximately 354,458 square meters. The site boasts nearly 750 meters of pristine sandy beachfront and is conveniently located just minutes from Sharm El Sheikh International Airport and close to the city’s conference and event facilities.
The initiative received backing from the Presidency of the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Tourism Development Authority (TDA). A cooperation protocol was signed with Al Montazah Tourism & Investment Company, which facilitated Gulf Egypt’s acquisition of the project land after a thorough evaluation and planning process. Major General Sameh Shoaib, Executive Managing Director of Al Montazah, played a crucial role in this collaboration.
Strategic Partnerships and Advisory Support
Gulf Egypt has engaged HVS, a leading global hospitality advisory firm, to conduct market research, feasibility studies, and provide advisory services. Additionally, an agreement with JLL will support market and economic feasibility studies, integrated master planning, and development strategies, ensuring that the project aligns with international best practices.
The signing ceremony was attended by Eng. Tarek Elshazly, CEO of Gulf Egypt for Hotels and Tourism; Hala Matar Choufany, President of HVS Middle East, Africa, and South Asia; and Ayman Sami, Country Head of JLL Egypt, among other officials.

He expressed confidence that their collaboration with Gulf Egypt would yield innovative insights and sustainable value for the project, enhancing its competitiveness in the global market.
Features of the Integrated Destination
The development will include a luxury bay-front hotel, two branded residential communities, and Sharm El Sheikh’s first internationally branded beach club. This beach club is expected to serve as a vibrant social hub, hosting a variety of events and entertainment throughout the year, reinforcing the project’s status as an integrated lifestyle destination. Additionally, the project will feature wellness and leisure offerings designed to appeal to both residents and visitors, contributing to the diversification of Egypt’s tourism portfolio.
The vision for this destination has emerged from a comprehensive planning process that involved extensive technical, economic, and tourism-related assessments conducted by leading local and international advisors. As the master plan evolved, Gulf Egypt and its partners conducted a thorough review to maximize the long-term economic, tourism, and community impact of the project. All critical studies and strategic assessments have been completed, and the project is now advancing through the final approval stages in preparation for implementation.
