Dubai launches Dubai Access Club, the world’s first city-led tourism membership program

Published:

Dubai has officially launched the Dubai Access Club, a pioneering tourism membership program designed exclusively for repeat visitors. Announced by the General Directorate for Identity and Foreigners Affairs – Dubai (GDRFA Dubai) and the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET), this initiative aims to enhance the city’s appeal as a leading global destination by offering an exclusive five-year membership that includes a multiple-entry tourist visa.

The program, which was recently unveiled by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, is part of a broader strategy to boost the competitiveness of Dubai’s tourism sector. “The launch of Dubai Access Club stands as a compelling testament to the city’s commitment to innovation in tourism,” stated His Excellency Issam Kazim, CEO of the Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing.

Exclusive Benefits for Members

The Dubai Access Club is available by invitation only, with memberships extended through partner nominations. Members will enjoy a range of exclusive benefits, including access to special services and experiences throughout the city, alongside a five-year multiple-entry tourist visa. This initiative is designed to foster repeat visitation and enhance the overall travel experience in Dubai.

Major General Khalaf Ahmad Al Ghaith, Assistant Director General of the Entry Permits and Residency Sector at GDRFA Dubai, emphasized the program’s role in simplifying entry procedures for visitors. “Our collaboration with the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism and the program’s partners aims to connect ease of access with an integrated experience across the emirate,” he noted.

Enhancing Visitor Experience

Members of the Dubai Access Club will be able to activate their membership upon visa approval, granting them immediate access to exclusive benefits. These include the ALSAADA Tourist Card, which offers various privileges across the city, and a gift card from Majid Al Futtaim, loaded with credit for experiences at its retail destinations.

Further exclusive offerings are expected to be announced, including hotel room upgrades and lounge access. Invitations to join the club will be extended through select loyalty programs and multinational companies, including Emirates, Accor, and Visa, with additional partners anticipated to join in the future.

Supporting Multinational Companies

The Dubai Access Club is not only beneficial for individual travelers but also for participating multinational companies. It facilitates easier access for eligible employees to return to Dubai for corporate events and meetings, while also encouraging them to explore the city’s diverse attractions.

This initiative builds on previous efforts by the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism, such as the launch of A Dubai Invite, which offers residents exclusive benefits for inviting friends and family to visit the city. The Dubai Access Club represents a significant step in strengthening visitor loyalty and enhancing the overall tourism experience in Dubai.
