Preorders are now open for the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max, which are set to be released on September 18, 2026. This announcement comes from The Verge, highlighting that early ordering is advisable for customers looking to secure their preferred colour and storage options.
The iPhone 18 Pro features a 6.3-inch display, starting at $1,199 for the 256GB model, while the 2TB version is priced at $2,399. The larger iPhone 18 Pro Max, with a 6.9-inch screen, begins at $1,299 for the 256GB variant and goes up to $2,499 for the 2TB model. Both devices are available in four colours: deep black, silver, glacier, and burgundy.
Currently, the only way to preorder an unlocked version of either model is directly through Apple. Customers have the option to finance their purchase through Apple, which offers a 36-month payment plan with zero percent APR. Additionally, the new iPhones qualify for the Apple Upgrade Program, and users can trade in their existing devices for credits of up to $885 towards the new phones, with further incentives available through carriers.
Retailers such as Best Buy and Walmart are also participating in the preorder phase, but they are only offering carrier-locked versions at this time. Best Buy lists the iPhone 18 Pro through Verizon and AT&T, while the Pro Max is available with the same carriers. Walmart similarly offers both models through Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile.
