The GSMA has unveiled a lineup of prominent speakers and exhibitors for the upcoming MWC26 Doha conference, set to take place from November 8 to 10, 2026, at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC). This event, a key gathering for the telecommunications sector in the Middle East and North Africa, coincides with the opening of the ITU Plenipotentiary Conference (PP-26).
MWC26 Doha aims to bring together leaders in 5G networks, artificial intelligence, digital infrastructure, and policy-making to shape the future of telecommunications and digital transformation in the region. Notable speakers will include representatives from companies such as BYD, Eutelsat, ITU, Khalifa University, Nokia, and Ooredoo, among others.
Focus on AI and Digital Infrastructure
The conference will feature discussions centered around the theme “The IQ Era,” addressing critical issues currently shaping the telecommunications landscape. Topics will include practical applications of artificial intelligence, smart economies, and interconnected infrastructure necessary for robust regional growth.
- Practical AI Applications: Exploring the use of AI in smart data centers, AI-ready networks, and interconnected healthcare.
- Smart Economies: How governments and businesses can leverage technology to enhance competitiveness and drive national transformation.
- Interconnected Infrastructure: The role of networks, satellite systems, and secure digital infrastructure in supporting regional development.
In partnership with Qatar’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, MWC26 builds on the success of its inaugural event in 2025, which attracted over 9,000 participants from 110 countries.
Collaboration with ITU
MWC26 Doha will run concurrently with the ITU Plenipotentiary Conference, bringing together industry leaders, policymakers, and innovators to discuss key digital topics that will shape the future of societies. Additionally, the conference will host the GSMA Ministerial Programme, which aims to outline the next phase of digital growth in the Middle East and North Africa.
As the telecommunications community converges in Doha, the event is poised to highlight advancements in AI, advanced networks, and digital infrastructure, fostering partnerships essential for driving digital evolution both regionally and globally. “Doha will become a hub for global dialogue on communications, AI, and digital transformation,” said GSMA Director General Vivek Badrinath.
