Baseus launches PrimeSentinel U2 Pro Outdoor camera with tracking spotlight feature

Published:

Baseus has unveiled its latest security innovation, the PrimeSentinel U2 Pro Outdoor camera, which features a motorized spotlight designed to track and illuminate moving targets. This proactive approach aims to deter unwanted visitors while enhancing nighttime video quality, making it easier to identify individuals and objects in low-light conditions. The camera is now available for purchase in the US and Europe, with prices starting at $269.99.

The PrimeSentinel U2 Pro is equipped with dual 3K cameras: a fixed camera for constant monitoring of a designated area and a second camera capable of 360-degree zoom, tilt, and pan functionalities. This setup allows for comprehensive surveillance of the property, complemented by full-color night vision capabilities that improve identification accuracy.

Utilizing AI-powered analysis, the U2 Pro distinguishes between various types of motion, providing alerts with detailed summaries that differentiate between people, pets, vehicles, and even package deliveries. The system is designed to minimize unnecessary notifications by ignoring irrelevant movements, such as those caused by wind-blown branches. Recorded footage is stored locally on a 512GB encrypted memory card and can be accessed remotely via Baseus’ mobile app. Additionally, live feeds can be monitored through smart home devices like Amazon Alexa and Google Home.

Installation of the U2 Pro is reportedly quick and straightforward, taking about two minutes with wall or ceiling mounts. The camera connects wirelessly to home networks and is powered by a rechargeable battery that can last up to 150 days, depending on activity levels. To enhance sustainability, a 3W solar panel can be installed nearby, providing sufficient power with just 40 minutes of sunlight for a full day’s operation.

According to The Verge, the U2 Pro represents a significant advancement in home security technology, combining proactive deterrence with advanced monitoring capabilities.
