Abu Dhabi’s DGE launches TAMM Global to enhance digital services worldwide

Published:

The Department of Government Enablement – Abu Dhabi (DGE) has officially launched TAMM Global, a new company aimed at expanding the reach of Abu Dhabi’s digital services platform, TAMM. This initiative, announced under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, aligns with the emirate’s strategic vision to enhance digital services both locally and globally.

TAMM Global is set to develop and manage an integrated ecosystem of digital services, focusing on government services. The company will leverage the technology and operational models behind TAMM, which has already proven effective in streamlining interactions between citizens and government entities in Abu Dhabi.

TAMM Global’s Strategic Objectives

According to DGE, TAMM Global aims to own and operate specialized digital service platforms, enhancing their capabilities and infrastructure. The company will also conduct research and implement training programs for Emirati talent, fostering strategic partnerships to improve service efficiency and sustainability. Additionally, TAMM Global plans to invest in opportunities within the UAE and internationally, further expanding its operational footprint.

Advancing Abu Dhabi’s AI-Native Government Vision

The establishment of TAMM Global marks a pivotal step in Abu Dhabi’s ambition to become the world’s first AI-native government. This move responds to a growing global demand for technologies that facilitate digital transformation while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and maintaining public trust. His Excellency Ahmed Tamim Hisham Al Kuttab, Chairman of DGE, emphasized that TAMM Global will make proven capabilities available to governments seeking to enhance their service delivery.

Since its inception in 2005, TAMM has evolved to integrate over 1,200 public and private sector services into a unified digital gateway, significantly reducing the need for in-person visits to government offices. The platform has achieved a customer satisfaction score of 94.5%, a notable increase from 78% in 2022, following the integration of AI technologies.

Global Partnerships and Future Prospects

TAMM Global’s launch is expected to bolster public-private sector cooperation and foster investments in the digital services sector. By providing access to its technology and implementation expertise, the company aims to help governments worldwide deploy digital platforms more efficiently. This includes licensing the platform architecture and methodologies that have enabled Abu Dhabi to operate TAMM at scale.

As an independent entity, TAMM Global will engage directly with governments and organizations globally, facilitating the adoption of advanced digital solutions. The platform’s success has garnered international recognition, including accolades at the UN-backed World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) Prizes and the Gartner Eye on Innovation Awards.
