Dubai Municipality opens registration for expanded Al Ruwayyah winter camping season

Published:

Dubai Municipality has officially opened registration for the 2026-2027 winter camping season in Al Ruwayyah, significantly increasing capacity by approximately 120% to accommodate up to 600 camps. This initiative, which runs from November 1 to April 30, aims to enhance outdoor recreational options for UAE nationals and their families.

The expanded winter camping season introduces several new features, including larger camping plots of up to 800 square meters, 50 dedicated caravan plots, and 10 fully equipped camps available for daily rental. Additionally, the Municipality has allocated 10 spaces for winter events, family gatherings, and seasonal markets, fostering opportunities for small and medium-sized businesses to provide food and recreational activities.

Camping plots can be reserved for periods ranging from three to six months, with separate booking options available for caravans and daily rentals. UAE nationals can register through Dubai Municipality’s digital platforms, including the winter camping portal and the DubaiNow app.

This initiative is part of a broader effort to transform Al Ruwayyah into a diverse winter destination, promoting family recreation, community engagement, and support for local businesses. As stated by Dubai Municipality, the enhancements aim to create a more vibrant outdoor experience for residents and visitors alike.
