Specialities Construction General Trading & Contracting Company has secured a US $78 million contract from Kuwait’s Public Authority for Housing Welfare (PAHW) for the construction and maintenance of infrastructure and public buildings at Suburb Center (N1) in Al Mutlaa City. This project is part of Kuwait’s broader initiative to enhance residential areas with essential infrastructure and public facilities.

The contract encompasses the construction, completion, and maintenance of various services and public buildings within the Al Mutlaa City development, which is positioned as the largest housing and infrastructure project in Kuwait’s history. Located in the Jahra Governorate, approximately 40 kilometers northwest of Kuwait City, Al Mutlaa City spans between 100 to 104 square kilometers and is designed to accommodate around 300,000 to 400,000 residents across 28,288 residential and villa plots.

Al Mutlaa City is a key component of Kuwait’s national Vision 2035, aimed at modernizing urban living and improving the quality of life for its citizens. The project is divided into 12 distinct suburbs, each designed to foster community living while providing necessary amenities and infrastructure.

Specialities Group, the parent company of Specialities Construction, is involved in various sectors, including general trading, contracting, construction, oil and gas, and real estate. The company also specializes in manufacturing construction chemicals and waterproofing systems through its subsidiaries.

This contract marks a significant step in Kuwait’s ongoing efforts to develop its urban landscape and improve living conditions for its population, aligning with the government’s strategic vision for sustainable development.
