Etihad Rail has partnered with Q Mobility and Parkin to implement smart parking solutions across its passenger station network, a move aimed at enhancing the overall travel experience for users. The agreement was formalized during the inaugural Liveability and Investment Exhibition (LIVEX 2026) in Abu Dhabi, marking a significant step towards a more integrated and efficient transport system in the UAE.

This collaboration is designed to streamline parking management at key stations, including those in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Al Dhaid, and Fujairah. Q Mobility will oversee parking facilities at the Abu Dhabi, Al Dhaid, and Fujairah stations, while Parkin will manage the Dubai station’s parking operations. The initiative is expected to leverage digital technologies and artificial intelligence to improve operational efficiency and enhance user experience.

Enhancing Passenger Experience

The strategic partnership aims to create a seamless and convenient parking experience for passengers, facilitating smoother transitions between car and train journeys. By integrating smart parking management solutions, the initiative will provide secure digital payment options and optimize parking capacity across the network.

Azza Alsuwaidi, Chief Operating Officer at Etihad Rail, emphasized the importance of this partnership in aligning with the UAE’s vision for a connected transport ecosystem. “Our partnership with Q Mobility and Parkin facilitates access to our stations through passenger-centric parking solutions,” she stated. “This supports our ambition to offer passengers greater convenience and flexibility for nationwide travel.”

Technological Integration and Future Goals

The collaboration is set to enhance traffic flow and improve the overall efficiency of the transport system. By utilizing data and artificial intelligence, the smart parking solutions will not only streamline operations but also contribute to a sustainable transport infrastructure in the UAE.

Mohamed Husain Karmastaji, CEO of Q Mobility, highlighted the innovative aspect of the partnership, stating, “This partnership reflects our vision of developing smart mobility solutions powered by innovation, data, and artificial intelligence.” He expressed optimism about the potential improvements in operational efficiency and user experience that the integrated parking management model will bring.

Mohamed Al Ali, CEO of Parkin, also noted the significance of this partnership in enhancing connectivity within the national transport network. “By operating the parking facilities at Etihad Rail’s Dubai station, we will deploy our digital solutions to simplify access and payment, enhancing operational efficiency and delivering a seamless parking experience for rail passengers,” he said.

This initiative not only aims to improve the passenger experience but also aligns with the UAE’s broader goals of developing a smart, sustainable, and future-ready transport ecosystem. The integration of smart parking services is expected to play a crucial role in achieving these objectives.
