Abu Dhabi Infrastructure Summit 2026 to Accelerate Sustainable Urban Development with $57 Billion Pipeline

The Abu Dhabi Projects and Infrastructure Centre (ADPIC) has announced the second Abu Dhabi Infrastructure Summit (ADIS), scheduled for May 12-14, 2026, at the ICC Hall in the ADNEC Centre. This flagship conference and exhibition for infrastructure and urban development will return with an expanded format, reflecting the increasing global demand and a heightened focus on scale, impact, and delivery.

His Excellency Mohamed Ali Al Shorafa, Chairman of the Department of Municipalities and Transport, emphasized that ADIS serves not merely as a platform for showcasing Abu Dhabi’s construction plans but as a demonstration of how the emirate designs and delivers cities centered on people. He noted that through integrated urban planning, advanced mobility systems, and world-class infrastructure, Abu Dhabi is committed to creating connected, sustainable communities that enhance the quality of life.

Summit to Spotlight Abu Dhabi’s $57 Billion Infrastructure Pipeline

Under the theme “Urban Evolution: Rethinking Cities, Redefining How We Live,” the summit aims to gather heads of government, global CEOs, developers, investors, and innovators from across the infrastructure ecosystem. The goal is to accelerate the development of resilient, sustainable, and people-centered cities.

ADIS 2026 is anchored by Abu Dhabi’s $57 billion infrastructure pipeline, which spans various sectors, including housing, transport, culture, education, and social infrastructure. This initiative positions the emirate as a model for sustainable urban development, translating ambition into measurable outcomes.

ADPIC’s Achievement Report indicates that the center successfully delivered 100 capital projects in 2025, marking a significant milestone in Abu Dhabi’s urban development and showcasing the emirate’s capacity for large-scale execution.

Al Shorafa stated that the challenges faced by cities today necessitate unprecedented collaboration. He reiterated Abu Dhabi’s commitment to sharing its governance frameworks, delivery models, and partnerships globally. ADIS 2026 aims to unite leaders from around the world to advance solutions that enable responsible urban growth while addressing community needs.

ADIS 2026 to Address Global Challenges Facing Cities

With projections indicating that 70 percent of the world’s population will reside in urban areas by 2050, the urgency to develop smarter, more sustainable cities has intensified. Abu Dhabi’s economy reached a record AED 325.7 billion in Q3 2025, with the construction sector expanding by 13.9 percent year-on-year.

ADIS 2026 serves as both a response to this global challenge and a platform to demonstrate how the emirate is translating its vision into actionable outcomes. His Excellency Eng Maysarah Mahmoud Eid, Director General of ADPIC, remarked that Abu Dhabi has established itself as a global benchmark for infrastructure excellence through execution rather than mere ambition. He emphasized that the summit reflects the emirate’s ongoing commitment to advancing this momentum by convening global partners, investors, and innovators to enhance urban planning, financing, and delivery.

The summit will feature a multi-day conference, a dedicated exhibition, and structured matchmaking focused on four critical themes shaping the future of cities worldwide:

  • Delivery-first infrastructure
  • Urban wellbeing
  • Smart solutions
  • Sustainability and resilience

The program encompasses governance frameworks, digital infrastructure, sustainable housing, and advanced construction, aiming to drive execution at scale and accelerate low-carbon urban development.

ADIS 2026 to Mark Expanded International Participation

For the first time, ADIS 2026 will include dedicated conference sessions in collaboration with the International Federation of Consulting Engineers (FIDIC). This partnership will focus on contracting, dispute avoidance, and resolution practices under the Abu Dhabi Capital Projects Framework, reinforcing the emirate’s dedication to governance excellence and internationally aligned project delivery standards.

The summit will also see significantly increased international participation from Singapore, China, and Türkiye, building on the strong momentum generated by ADPIC’s international roadshows in 2025, which resulted in nine Memoranda of Understanding and over 30 business-to-business meetings.

This expanded presence will provide a platform for contractors, developers, and industry leaders from each nation to showcase their capabilities and engage directly with Abu Dhabi’s project owners, developers, and delivery authorities, fostering long-term collaboration and shared investment.

Building on its inaugural edition, which was attended by His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, ADIS 2026 aims for greater scale and broader reach. The previous summit welcomed over 4,100 participants from more than 100 countries and concluded with 15 strategic agreements.
