Dubai Offers Free Public Parking for Three Days to Celebrate UAE National Day Weekend

Date:

Residents of Dubai are set to enjoy complimentary public parking throughout the city during the upcoming long weekend for UAE National Day. The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announced that public parking will be free from Sunday, November 30, through Tuesday, December 2. Regular parking fees will resume on Wednesday, December 3. However, it’s important to note that this free parking offer does not extend to multi-storey car parks or the Al Khail Gate N-365 facility.

Extended Metro and Tram Operating Hours

During this festive weekend, Dubai Metro services will feature extended hours to accommodate travelers:

  • Saturday, November 29: 5 am to 1 am
  • Sunday, November 30: 8 am to 1 am
  • Monday and Tuesday, December 1–2: 5 am to 1 am

In addition, the Dubai Tram will run on a modified schedule as well:

  • Saturday, November 29: 6 am to 1 am
  • Sunday, November 30: 9 am to 1 am
  • Monday and Tuesday, December 1–2: 6 am to 1 am

Updates for Public Buses and Marine Transport

With the holiday approaching, commuters relying on buses and marine transport are encouraged to check the S’hail app for any schedule updates during this period. This app provides real-time information that can help passengers plan their journeys more effectively.

Customer Happiness Centres Availability

The RTA Customer Happiness Centres will be closed on December 1 and 2. However, the Smart Customer Happiness Centres located in Umm Ramool, Deira, Al Barsha, and Al Twar, along with the RTA Headquarters, will remain open 24/7. This means that residents can still access important services despite the holiday closures.

Additionally, Service Provider Centres will also observe the two-day holiday closure and will reopen for business on Wednesday, December 3.
