Dubai Press Club and Dubai Culture Launch Third Phase of Cultural Content Creators Programme to Strengthen Authentic Storytelling

Dubai: The third phase of the Dubai Content Creators Programme commenced today with the introduction of the Cultural Content Creators’ Programme. This initiative is organized by the Dubai Press Club (DPC) in collaboration with the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture). The programme aims to cultivate specialized skills among creators, enabling them to produce high-quality content that reflects Dubai’s identity, values, and its evolving cultural and creative landscape.

Empowering Creators Through Specialized Training

The Cultural Content Creators Programme is designed to support media and creative talent by providing them with practical tools and advanced skills in digital storytelling and creative production. Participants will be equipped to generate impactful cultural content that is authentic and highlights Dubai’s rich cultural landscape. This initiative also aims to enhance the presence of cultural and creative industries across various digital platforms.

During the launch event, Mona Ghanem Al Marri, Vice Chairperson and Managing Director of the Dubai Media Council and President of the DPC, welcomed the participants. She emphasized the programme’s role in empowering a new generation of creators to authentically share Dubai’s cultural narrative. Al Marri noted that Dubai’s rise as a global hub for culture and creativity is driven by a vision that values identity and presents it confidently to the world.

The Importance of Culturally Aware Content Creation

Al Marri highlighted the increasing need for culturally aware content creators who can produce authentic, knowledge-based material that preserves heritage while presenting it in a contemporary manner. She stated that the programme invests in youth as the foundation for the future, aiming to nurture creators who can strengthen cultural identity and connect the past, present, and future through meaningful storytelling.

Hala Badri, Director General of Dubai Culture, stressed the vital role of cultural content in shaping how cities narrate their stories, preserve their identities, and connect with the global community. She pointed out that cultural content is a key pillar of the creative industries, reflecting Dubai’s unique character and ambitious vision for the future. Badri asserted that the Cultural Content Creators Programme is an investment in the next generation of storytellers, empowering them to capture the spirit of the city in authentic and innovative ways.

Fostering Innovation and Growth

Badri further noted that the programme enables participants to access emerging technologies, industry expertise, and growth opportunities. This access allows them to transform ideas into impactful content that resonates with both local and global audiences. She emphasized that creativity flourishes when individuals are empowered to tell their own stories, and this initiative is creating new pathways for talent to contribute to Dubai’s cultural future.

Running until June 19, the Cultural Content Creators Programme includes a series of specialized workshops and interactive sessions led by experts in media, content creation, and digital platforms. The aim is to enhance participants’ skills in visual storytelling, idea development, audience insight, and content production across multiple platforms. The programme also introduces modern tools and emerging technologies to support innovative and impactful content creation.

A Milestone in Content Creation

Maryam Al Mulla, Director of the DPC, remarked that the launch of this third phase represents a significant milestone in the Club’s efforts to enhance the capabilities of content creators. She noted that it equips them with practical tools necessary to produce specialized and impactful content that aligns with the rapid evolution of the digital media landscape.

Al Mulla added that the collaboration with Dubai Culture reflects a mutual commitment to advancing cultural storytelling and expanding opportunities for content creators to contribute to Dubai’s growing creative economy. This content will capture the spirit of the city while showcasing its stories, communities, and distinctive cultural identity.

Wedad Kahoor, Section Head of Media Talent Development at the DPC, described the programme as a training experience that combines theory and practice. Participants will develop ideas, build narratives, and utilize modern tools to produce high-quality digital content. Kahoor emphasized that the programme helps participants gain a deeper understanding of Dubai’s cultural landscape, transforming its elements—such as heritage, arts, talent, and creative industries—into engaging stories that reach wider audiences and enhance Arabic cultural content on digital platforms.

Comprehensive Training for Future Storytellers

The Cultural Content Creators Programme combines practical training with specialized sessions that cover digital media, visual communication, content development, audience engagement strategies, and the use of modern content creation tools, including artificial intelligence. Participants will have the opportunity to explore innovative approaches to cultural storytelling and develop content that reflects the richness and diversity of Dubai’s cultural landscape.

This phase builds on the success of previous editions of the Dubai Content Creators Programme, which focused on economic, health, and science content in collaboration with government entities and strategic partners. The initiative is part of the Dubai Press Club’s ongoing efforts to develop media talent equipped for the evolving digital content industry.
