A delegation of over 50 Chief AI Officers and leaders from various UAE government entities is embarking on a five-day visit to the United States to explore the latest developments in Agentic AI. This initiative, organized by the UAE Government’s Artificial Intelligence Office in collaboration with the Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence, aims to enhance the UAE’s capabilities in this emerging technology.
Strengthening Government Capabilities in AI
The primary goal of the visit is to connect UAE government capabilities with global expertise in Agentic AI, facilitating partnerships that can accelerate its adoption in government services. This aligns with the UAE Government’s ambitious target of transforming 50 percent of its operations into AI-powered models within the next two years.
This marks the Chief AI Officers’ second international mission, focusing on emerging trends and applications in Agentic AI. The delegation will engage with leading technology companies and academic institutions to gain insights into advanced models and practices that can be adapted for government use.
Empowering AI Leadership
His Excellency Omar Sultan Al Olama emphasized the UAE’s proactive approach to harnessing technological advancements to meet national priorities. He highlighted the importance of empowering government entities with specialized AI leadership to enhance decision-making and operational efficiency.
Al Olama stated that the focus is on equipping Chief AI Officers with the knowledge and partnerships necessary to lead AI development across government sectors. This includes understanding the potential of Agentic AI and ensuring its safe and responsible deployment.
Meetings with Industry Leaders
The delegation’s itinerary includes meetings with prominent AI and technology firms such as Dell Technologies, NVIDIA, Salesforce, and Google, as well as academic institutions like Stanford University and the Institute of Foundation Models at Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence. These engagements will explore the latest applications of Agentic AI and the challenges associated with its large-scale deployment.
Through these interactions, the UAE aims to bring global technological insights into its government framework, enhancing national coordination and expediting the transition from exploring AI’s potential to implementing it effectively across various sectors.
