Dubai’s Museum of the Future has launched a groundbreaking talent search for a new role titled ‘Future Perfects’, aimed at enhancing the visitor experience as the museum prepares for a significant reopening in 2027. This initiative, which prioritizes qualities like imagination and emotional intelligence over traditional qualifications, seeks to redefine how visitors engage with the museum’s innovative narratives.
The Museum of the Future is looking for individuals who can embody the spirit of curiosity and adaptability, essential traits for creating meaningful interactions with visitors. Rather than relying on resumes, the selection process will include live assessments to evaluate candidates’ communication skills and ability to connect with diverse audiences. Azza AlNuaimi, COO of the Museum, emphasized that this approach reflects Dubai’s commitment to recognizing potential beyond conventional paths.
What Makes a ‘Future Perfect’?
A ‘Future Perfect’ is envisioned as a guide and storyteller, responsible for making visitors feel welcomed and engaged. The role requires natural communicators who can translate complex ideas into relatable conversations, catering to a wide range of ages and cultural backgrounds. Previous experience in museums or customer service is not a prerequisite, allowing for a diverse pool of applicants.
Successful candidates will join the Visitor Experience team in November 2026, playing a crucial role in welcoming millions of visitors and facilitating discussions around science, technology, and the future. The museum has already attracted over five million visitors since its opening in 2022, showcasing its global appeal.
Application Process and Public Involvement
Applications for the Future Perfects role are open until November 8, 2026, through the official auditions portal at Futureperfects.ae. The selection process will involve online applications, live assessments, and a final casting day where candidates will demonstrate their skills in real-time scenarios. Additionally, the museum encourages the public to nominate individuals they believe would excel in this role through its social media channels.
AlNuaimi stated, “The Future Perfects reflect Dubai’s belief in recognizing potential beyond conventional paths. We are looking for people who may never have imagined working in a museum yet possess exactly what a museum of the future needs.” This innovative recruitment strategy aims to ensure that the human element remains at the forefront of the museum experience, highlighting the importance of personal connection in an increasingly technology-driven world.
