Emirates to Introduce Daily Flights from Helsinki to Dubai This Fall

Date:

DUBAI — Emirates Airlines (EK) has announced its plans to launch a daily, year-round flight service between Dubai and Helsinki, starting on October 1, 2026. This marks a significant milestone as it will be the airline’s inaugural nonstop route to Finland, further extending its reach into the Nordic region.

Expanding Nordic Connectivity

The new service will operate under flight numbers EK167 from Dubai and EK168 on its return trip. Designed to optimize connectivity, these flights will allow passengers from Helsinki to seamlessly connect to Emirates’ extensive network that includes destinations across East and Southeast Asia, Australia, Africa, the Middle East, and the Indian Ocean region via Dubai.

According to Emirates, there has been a noticeable demand for travel from Finland to the UAE, currently fulfilled through indirect routes that transit through other Nordic hubs. The introduction of this direct flight is expected to enhance travel options and attract more visitors to both destinations.

The Impact on Tourism

The Finnish tourism sector continues to thrive, making it an appealing destination for international travelers. This new service is likely to boost tourism further, as it showcases Finland’s potential for long-haul travel. In addition to increasing passenger numbers, the route will also support trade missions between the two nations. Emirates SkyCargo will provide services focusing on transporting high-value, time-sensitive cargo, utilizing the aircraft’s belly-hold space efficiently.

A350: The Aircraft of Choice

The flights will be operated using the Airbus A350, which features a modern cabin design and includes Business Class, Premium Economy, and Economy Class seating options. Passengers can look forward to enjoying the latest in-flight products, including upgraded cabin interiors and advanced entertainment systems, ensuring a comfortable travel experience from the moment they board.

For those interested in securing their seats, Emirates has already opened bookings for the Dubai-Helsinki route, making it easier for travelers to begin planning their journeys.
