Al Ain Farms Group has joined forces with Food Tech Valley, a government-supported food innovation center in Dubai, to establish a substantial logistics hub spanning 260,000 square feet. This collaboration aims to enhance food security in the UAE while improving the distribution of fresh produce.
Announcement at the Future Food Forum 2025
The partnership was unveiled during the Future Food Forum 2025, an event held under the auspices of the Ministry of Economy and Tourism. The logistics hub is designed to significantly reduce delivery distances, which is expected to lead to a decrease in carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 2,500 tonnes each year. Additionally, fleet emissions could be lowered by as much as 35%, aligning with the UAE’s broader sustainability goals.

Hassan Safi, the Group CEO of Al Ain Farms, emphasized the importance of collaboration in achieving these goals. He stated, “This hub is a testament to the power of strong partnerships in the UAE, driving greater in-country value.” By partnering with Food Tech Valley, Al Ain Farms aims to deliver fresher food to consumers more quickly, while also bolstering the local economy and nurturing talent.
Safi highlighted that the collaboration is projected to enhance delivery efficiency by 33%, reduce waste, and streamline logistics processes. “By leveraging the country’s expertise and resources, we are building a sustainable and resilient food system that benefits both our community and our partners,” he added.
Food Tech Valley’s Vision
Ahmed Al Shaibani, Director of Food Tech Valley, shared insights into the initiative’s broader implications. He noted that Food Tech Valley was established to foster innovation and sustainability within the UAE’s food ecosystem. Construction of the logistics hub is set to commence by late 2025, with an anticipated completion date in the first quarter of 2027. The project will not only focus on enhancing logistics but will also incorporate advanced technologies to optimize operations.
