ADGM Attracts 4,000 Candidates to Third Virtual Career Fair, Strengthening Abu Dhabi’s Global Talent Pipeline

Successful Virtual Career Fair Highlights Talent Development

Abu Dhabi, UAE: The Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM), the international financial centre (IFC) of Abu Dhabi, in collaboration with eFinancialCareers, has successfully wrapped up its third Virtual Career Fair. This event, held in April, underscored ADGM’s dedication to fostering talent development and enhancing Abu Dhabi’s status as a premier global financial hub. The first segment of this two-part event concentrated on the Capital Markets and Wealth & Risk Management sectors, attracting a carefully selected group of professionals and leading employers from the financial services industry.

Approximately 4,000 candidates from over 27 countries participated in the event, which featured 33 prominent employers from ADGM’s expanding ecosystem. This year’s fair introduced a more focused format, enhancing candidate screening and incorporating segmented sessions to promote deeper engagement between employers and prospective talent.

Enhancing Accessibility and Recruitment Pathways

In a bid to improve talent accessibility, ADGM announced plans to integrate its Job Portal into future editions of the Virtual Career Fair series. This initiative aims to streamline recruitment processes and strengthen connections between employers and professionals within ADGM’s ecosystem.

Salem Al Darei, CEO of ADGM Authority, noted the event’s evolution in response to the increasing demand for specialized talent within Abu Dhabi’s dynamic financial landscape. He emphasized that the sector-focused approach has facilitated more targeted connections between employers and high-caliber professionals, reinforcing the event’s significance as a strategic platform for talent engagement. Al Darei highlighted that the strong participation reflects Abu Dhabi’s growing prominence as a center for finance and wealth management.

Global Participation and Industry Engagement

The Virtual Career Fair attracted robust global participation, further establishing ADGM as a preferred destination for financial talent. Notably, there was significant involvement from UAE nationals seeking to advance their careers in the Capital Markets and Wealth & Risk Management sectors.

Major industry players such as Citi UAE, HSBC Bank, Grant Thornton, Finstreet, Tradition, Al Maryah Community Bank, Black Swan Group, Xanara, Waystone, Lunaro, AMINA Bank, Marex Capital, BDO, Crowe, Michael Page, and Robert Walters were among the employers leading career discussions during the fair.

The event recorded over 14,000 visits to employer booths, where professionals engaged with various organizations, including ADGM, HSBC, and Citi. Of these visits, 1,303 resulted in meaningful career conversations.

Diverse Candidate Pool and Future Plans

The registered candidates hailed from countries including the UK, US, India, France, Singapore, Denmark, Hong Kong, China, South Africa, and the Philippines, representing a diverse talent pool. They encompassed over 31 sub-sectors within the Capital Markets and Wealth & Risk Management fields, covering areas such as Banking, Consulting, Wealth Management, Digital Banking & Fintech, Real Estate, Private Equity, and Venture Capital.

Building on the success of this event, ADGM plans to host the second installment of its Virtual Career Fair series in October 2026, focusing on FinTech and Digital Assets. This upcoming edition aims to address the sector’s talent needs by connecting employers with qualified candidates and strengthening recruitment pipelines for roles that will shape the future of finance in Abu Dhabi.

ADGM’s Role in Economic Diversification

ADGM’s Virtual Career Fair is part of a broader strategy to cultivate a sustainable and globally competitive financial ecosystem by facilitating access to talent, capital, and innovation. As a forward-thinking IFC, ADGM continues to contribute to the UAE’s economic diversification agenda while empowering the next generation of financial professionals.
