Jet Aviation Celebrates Two Decades of Services in Dubai
A Milestone in the Middle East
Jet Aviation recently marked a significant milestone, celebrating 20 years of providing maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) and fixed base operator (FBO) services in Dubai. The company first established its presence at Dubai International Airport in 2005, focusing on fixed-wing maintenance and VIP handling for aircraft.
Foundations of Success
Vincent Rongier, Senior Vice President of Regional Operations for EMEA, emphasized the pivotal role that the United Arab Emirates plays in Jet Aviation’s history. “The UAE has always been an integral part of our journey,” he stated. The firm has consistently supported local customers through various services, including maintenance, completions, management, and FBO operations. According to Rongier, opening a facility in Dubai was a logical step in enhancing customer experience and expanding their range of services.
Growing Presence in Dubai
Jet Aviation’s growth in Dubai didn’t stop with its initial launch. In 2012, the company expanded its operations by opening a second FBO at Al Maktoum International Airport, located in Dubai South. This facility transitioned to a new location within the shared VIP terminal in 2017, further enhancing its service offerings.
Strategic Acquisitions
In 2018, the company took a notable step forward by acquiring Hawker Pacific. This acquisition was significant as it brought with it a rotary wing MRO facility, aircraft sales operations, and aftermarket spares support. Additionally, Jet Aviation partnered with Bell Textron Inc. to offer specialized blade repair services through RBIH Dubai.
Continued Expansion and Recognition
Jet Aviation continued to elevate its service capabilities in Dubai with a series of key appointments. In 2022, the company became an authorized Pilatus PC-12 Service Center. This was followed by recognition in 2024 as an authorized warranty and Crystal Care service provider for the Pilatus PC-24. The same year, the Dubai facility was also appointed as an Authorized Service Center for the Gulfstream G700, reflecting its growing portfolio and commitment to quality service.
Acknowledging Partnerships and Team Efforts
Hardy Butschi, Vice President of Regional Operations for the Middle East and General Manager in Dubai, expressed his gratitude towards the company’s stakeholders. “None of this progress would have been possible without the support and trust of our customers, partners, and employees,” he said. Butschi highlighted the importance of relationships built over the years, especially with long-term partners who have been supportive since Jet Aviation’s inception in Dubai.
Looking Ahead
With two decades of experience and deep-rooted relationships in the regional aviation industry, Jet Aviation is poised for a promising future. The company remains committed to delivering high-quality services, ensuring that its operations continue to meet the evolving needs of customers in Dubai and beyond.
