Zayed International Airport (AUH) has announced the launch of a new daily, year-round service connecting Berlin and Abu Dhabi, operated by Condor Airlines. This marks the first scheduled direct flight between the two capitals on Condor’s network, enhancing travel options for passengers and supporting Abu Dhabi’s tourism sector.
The new route, serviced by an Airbus A320neo, is part of a codeshare partnership with Etihad Airways, which aims to improve connectivity between Germany and Abu Dhabi. Passengers traveling from Berlin will now have access to a wider range of destinations across Etihad’s network, while travelers from Abu Dhabi can connect to Condor’s services through Berlin.
Strengthening Tourism and Business Links

He highlighted Germany as a valuable source of visitors and expressed optimism that improved accessibility will attract more travelers to Abu Dhabi’s unique cultural and leisure offerings.
Expanding Network Opportunities
Dr. Pierre Dominique Prümm, Chief Commercial Officer at Condor Airlines, stated that the collaboration with Etihad Airways not only provides a direct service to Abu Dhabi but also facilitates seamless connections to numerous destinations across Asia, Australia, and Africa. This partnership aims to enhance travel options for both leisure and business travelers.
Lena Havia, Vice President of Alliances & Joint Ventures at Etihad Airways, added that the integration of their networks offers guests in Berlin daily access to Abu Dhabi and seamless onward connections. She expressed enthusiasm for the growth potential of this partnership, which complements Etihad’s existing operations in Germany, including 35 flights a week and a Frankfurt-Abu Dhabi link.
