Lionel Messi commissions luxury yacht Ultima 88 at UAE’s Sunreef shipyards

Lionel Messi, the renowned Argentine football star, has commissioned a new luxury yacht named Ultima 88, currently under construction at Sunreef’s shipyards in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE. This development marks a significant addition to Messi’s maritime collection, which will be stationed in the picturesque Spanish Balearic Islands once completed.

Measuring approximately 26.8 meters, the Ultima 88 is designed to offer a blend of spacious indoor and outdoor areas, catering to relaxation and marine activities. The yacht will feature four guest suites alongside a master suite, ensuring ample privacy and comfort for its occupants. A standout feature is the ocean lounge, which opens directly to the sea, facilitating easy access for swimming and water sports. Additionally, the yacht will include a dedicated garage for personal watercraft and a large upper deck, enhancing its appeal for leisure activities.

Sunreef’s founder and CEO, Francis Lapp, expressed enthusiasm about Messi’s decision to collaborate with the company, emphasizing that it reflects their commitment to luxury, privacy, and personal leisure. “Messi’s choice to collaborate with Sunreef highlights our dedication to luxury, which is increasingly associated with privacy and personal control over leisure time,” Lapp stated.

Messi himself shared his excitement about the project, stating how honored he feels to be part of the Sunreef family. He noted that his family cherishes their time spent at sea, making this yacht a fitting addition to their lifestyle.

As the Ultima 88 nears completion, it stands as a testament to the intersection of luxury and personal enjoyment, aligning perfectly with Messi’s passion for the ocean and leisure activities.
