A UAE government delegation recently visited Vietnam to explore collaboration in artificial intelligence (AI) and cybersecurity, focusing on government modernization and institutional performance. This visit, organized by the Government Experience Exchange Office, aims to enhance bilateral cooperation and share successful government practices between the two nations.

The delegation included key figures such as Mohamed Bin Taliah, Assistant Minister of Cabinet Affairs for Government Experience Exchange Affairs, and Dr. Bader Al Matrooshi, UAE Ambassador to Vietnam. Their discussions with Vietnamese officials, including Deputy Minister of Public Security Le Van Tuyen, centered on advancing government development priorities and enhancing institutional efficiency.

Strengthening Government Cooperation

During the meetings, the UAE representatives emphasized their commitment to international cooperation and knowledge sharing. Bin Taliah stated, “Our meetings with Vietnamese government officials focused on strengthening existing partnerships and exploring new avenues for cooperation in areas of mutual interest.” The discussions aimed to streamline government procedures and eliminate bureaucratic hurdles, ultimately improving service delivery for citizens and businesses.

In addition to public administration, the talks also covered the application of AI in decision-making processes and enhancing service delivery. The UAE delegation and their Vietnamese counterparts explored opportunities to bolster digital readiness and resilience, particularly in cybersecurity, to create a secure and sustainable digital ecosystem.

Future Readiness and Sustainable Development

The visit aligns with the strategic partnership established between the UAE and Vietnam in October 2024, which focuses on sharing successful government experiences across various sectors, including digital government and capacity building. The discussions also included best practices in community safety and environmental protection, reflecting both countries’ commitment to sustainable development objectives.

This collaboration highlights the UAE’s proactive approach to government modernization and its willingness to engage with international partners to enhance public service delivery and institutional agility. As both nations continue to explore these opportunities, the potential for innovative solutions in governance and public safety remains significant.

According to Economy Middle East, the discussions are part of ongoing efforts to strengthen government cooperation and exchange expertise, setting the stage for future collaborations that could benefit both countries.
