Sheikh Hamdan launches second Rashid Villages project in Zanzibar to support local families

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, has announced the launch of a second village under the Rashid Villages initiative in Zanzibar. This development aims to provide essential housing, education, healthcare facilities, and economic opportunities for local families, as reported by ARN News Centre.

The project coincides with the 11th anniversary of the passing of Sheikh Rashid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, reflecting a commitment to continue his legacy of community support. Sheikh Hamdan highlighted that this initiative is designed to create an integrated and sustainable village that will offer beneficiary families the necessary services and opportunities to ensure their long-term security and stability.

Under the supervision of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the project aims to transform the late Sheikh Rashid’s vision into tangible benefits for communities in need. Sheikh Hamdan remarked that this anniversary serves as a moment to honour his brother’s generosity and the positive impact he had on many lives.

He emphasized that the initiative seeks to establish lasting projects that not only benefit individuals but also provide families with a sense of security and stability. The goal is to reach new communities each year, expanding the reach of the Rashid Villages initiative.
