Real Kabaddi League Sets the Stage for Global Fame in Dubai

Dubai [UAE], September 21: The Real Kabaddi League (RKL) is gearing up for a monumental milestone in December 2025, with its inaugural international edition being hosted in Dubai. Aiming to transform Indian Kabaddi into a global phenomenon, this initiative strives to provide a robust platform for grassroots talent from across the world.

A Vision for Global Expansion

Founded by Shubham Chaudhary, the RKL began as a mission dedicated to nurturing and showcasing regional talent in the traditional sport of Kabaddi. Since its inception, the league has made significant strides in promoting the sport within India. The upcoming international edition marks a critical shift, as RKL positions itself on the global stage, melding domestic passion with international aspirations.

Star Power Behind the League

The league boasts the guidance of Rannvijay Singha, a celebrated youth icon and co-founder, who brings significant recognition to RKL’s mission. With a deep-rooted passion for sports, Singha asserts, “Kabaddi, India’s indigenous sport, has all the ingredients to be a global sport. We are going to help it get its rightful place with the RKL – International in Dubai.” His involvement signifies a commitment to raising the league’s profile internationally.

Bridging Grassroots and Excellence

To enhance the league’s credibility, Rahul Chaudhari, one of India’s most revered Kabaddi players, has taken on the role of Kabaddi Ambassador. His legacy and influence act as a bridge between budding talent and professional excellence. Chaudhari expressed his dedication to empowering young players: “Through the Real Kabaddi League, I see a powerful platform that gives young … talent the chance to rise and shine.” His sentiments highlight the league’s goal of elevating Kabaddi from local to international recognition.

Strong Support Across Borders

RKL is not alone in this venture; it enjoys robust backing from influential figures. Abhishek Verma, the Chief Indian Patron of RKL and Chief National Coordinator of the Shiv Sena-NDA alliance, emphasized Kabaddi’s cultural significance: “Kabaddi is India’s pride – a true symbol of our indigenous culture, resilience, and teamwork.” His involvement underscores the broader national enthusiasm to put Kabaddi on the global map.

Further endorsing this vision, Rashid Al Habtoor, Chief Global Patron of RKL, shed light on the sport’s potential impact: “It is our honour to support the Real Kabaddi League and bring this incredible sport to Dubai… Kabaddi has the potential to unite cultures, inspire youth, and establish itself as a truly global game.” His support illustrates a growing international interest in Kabaddi.

A Unique International Format

The Real Kabaddi League – International is set to fill a critical gap in the international sports ecosystem. Following a successful exhibition match earlier in Dubai, the league will feature a five-nation format in its inaugural edition, with teams from India, Iran, Bangladesh, UAE, and Australia vying for the title. Scheduled matches will take place in a world-class indoor arena equipped with cutting-edge production and entertainment experiences, creating an inviting atmosphere for fans.

A Cultural Spectacle

The Dubai edition aims to attract a diverse audience, blending sport, culture, and entertainment into an unforgettable experience. Matches will not only showcase Kabaddi skills but also highlight the cultural richness associated with the sport. The event is anticipated to draw fans from across South Asia, the Middle East, and beyond, ensuring a broad reach and impact.

The Future of Kabaddi

Shubham Chaudhary, reflecting on the upcoming edition, stated, “The Real Kabaddi League is more than just a tournament; it is a movement to empower grassroots talent and give Kabaddi its rightful place on the global stage.” His words encapsulate the league’s broader vision: to celebrate India’s rich sports tradition and promote Kabaddi as a worthy competitor alongside mainstream international sports.

The Real Kabaddi League is poised to not only elevate the sport but also serve as a testament to the power of teamwork, resilience, and cultural heritage, establishing Kabaddi as a global contender. The plans for December 2025 will undoubtedly set new standards and open doors for a sport deeply rooted in India’s heritage.
