New Store Launch in Dubai

Primark, the renowned international fashion retailer, has inaugurated its third store in Dubai at the Mall of the Emirates, in collaboration with Alshaya Group. This opening follows the successful launches at Dubai Mall and City Centre Mirdif, and builds on Primark’s regional debut in Kuwait last year. The new store is a significant addition to the UAE’s retail landscape, reflecting the brand’s commitment to expanding its footprint in the region.

Store Details and Future Plans

The Primark store at Mall of the Emirates has opened its ground floor, featuring over 36,000 square feet of retail space designed for a modern shopping experience. An additional 8,500 square feet on the first floor is expected to open later this year, further enhancing the store’s offerings. Once fully operational, this location will rank among Primark’s largest in Dubai, employing over 400 staff members.

The opening ceremony included representatives from Alshaya Group, Majid Al Futtaim, and the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism. This event celebrated the establishment of three Primark stores in Dubai, highlighting the warm reception the brand has received in the UAE.

Commitment to the UAE Market

Primark’s expansion in Dubai follows its much-anticipated entry into the region, which began with its debut at Dubai Mall in March 2023, shortly followed by the City Centre Mirdif store. The Mall of the Emirates location reinforces Primark’s long-term strategy to grow within the UAE and the broader Middle East market.

John Hadden, CEO of Alshaya Group, expressed pride in the partnership with Primark, emphasizing the significance of the new store’s opening as a reflection of the UAE’s support. He acknowledged the contributions of partners, landlords, and the government, as well as the enthusiasm of new customers. Hadden noted the intention to build on this foundation as Primark continues to expand across the Middle East.

Jose Luis Martinez De Larramendi, Director of International Expansion at Primark, highlighted the strong partnership with Alshaya Group. He noted the positive response from shoppers since the brand’s entry into the region and expressed excitement about upcoming openings in Bahrain and Qatar later this year.

Shopping Experience and Product Offerings

Situated in one of the region’s most iconic shopping destinations, the Primark store offers a diverse range of fashion products. Customers can explore collections for women, men, and children, including everyday essentials, trend-driven items, and licensed collaborations. The store also features the retailer’s premium The Edit collection, all at the competitive prices for which Primark is globally recognized.

Following the Mall of the Emirates opening, Primark has plans for additional store launches in Bahrain at City Centre Bahrain and in Qatar at Doha Festival City, both scheduled for late 2026.
