Connecting the Cycling Community

In preparation for the main event, an extensive program of social rides and activities will occur from September to January. The initiative aims to engage participants with an increased number of exhibitors and challenges within the Race Village, while also introducing new initiatives designed to encourage greater female participation in cycling. In addition to attracting local cyclists, special packages are being developed for international riders, allowing them to easily combine their participation with a stay in Dubai.

Building a Cycling Culture in Dubai

Recognizing the vast potential for cycling in Dubai, the 2026 edition will collaborate closely with key players in the cycling scene to further elevate the city’s cycling culture. Guided rides led by experienced cycling experts are slated to take place across different destinations, highlighting inclusivity and the enjoyment of the sport. These build-up rides will not only prepare participants for the main event but also strengthen community bonds through shared experiences.

The first edition of L’Etape Dubai attracted over 1,000 participants, including 243 international riders and 266 Emiratis, marking it as the largest inaugural amateur cycling event of its kind in the UAE. The 2026 edition is set to build on this momentum, with an ambitious aim to welcome up to 2,000 riders, celebrating the growing passion for cycling that Dubai has cultivated.
