Lando Norris has co-founded LN4 Fusion, a single-seater racing team intended to help young drivers progress through motorsport’s junior categories, Reuters reported via ARN News Centre.
The project has acquired assets from AIX Racing. Programmes are confirmed in Italian Formula Four, the Formula Regional European Championship and FIA Formula Three, which runs alongside Formula One.
Junior racing and driver support
LN4 Fusion is also working towards entries in British Formula Four and Formula Two. Those entries were described as objectives, rather than confirmed programmes.
Separately, Norris is launching an independent, fully funded driver development programme. It is designed to help emerging talent overcome financial barriers and gain access to coaching, mentoring and career advice.
Speaking before the Italian Grand Prix, Norris said his own progress had depended on support and opportunities as well as talent. He said the two projects were intended to create opportunities for the next generation, both on and off the track.
Team leadership
Rene Rosin will serve as team principal. His family founded the Italian Prema team, which helped develop current Formula One drivers including Kimi Antonelli, Charles Leclerc and Oscar Piastri.
Former Prema technical director Guillaume Capietto will become LN4 Fusion’s racing director.
