A Historic Return for the Lions International Convention
Hong Kong has previously hosted the Lions International Convention in 1992 and 2005, making this the third time the city has been selected for this significant gathering. This achievement positions Hong Kong among a select group of cities worldwide that have hosted the convention three times, highlighting its status as the Events Capital of Asia and the World’s Meeting Place.
Dr. Peter Lam, Chairman of the Hong Kong Tourism Board, expressed enthusiasm about the event, stating that the return of the convention underscores Hong Kong’s appeal as a premier destination for MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, and Exhibitions) tourism. In a unique initiative, the convention will attempt to set a world record for the largest simultaneous Tai Chi practice, involving thousands of international Lions delegates.
