Sun, Beats, and Back-to-Back Good Times in Ras Al Khaimah
The What’s On Dubai Lock-In made a triumphant return this past weekend — and it did not disappoint. Taking over the stunning Sofitel Al Hamra Beach Resort in sunny Ras Al Khaimah, the all-inclusive weekender brought the vibes, the crowds, and a whole lot of unforgettable moments. From Saturday, June 14 to Sunday, June 15, guests showed up in their freshest whites for two jam-packed days of epic eats, drinks, beats, and beachside bliss — making it one of our biggest bashes yet.
You know how we do – it’s always a good time at the What’s On Lock-In, and this one was no different. The weekend kicked off with a whole roster of welcome activations for our guests to dive into.
Before the Brunch…
A fitness class by Reset Fitness got our VIP guests pumping for the fun moments ahead. Elsewhere on the property, a series of engaging pop-ups kept guests busy as they checked in. A stylish offering from denim brand Serge De Nimes raised the fashion stakes, while Lush pampered attendees with skincare treatments to prep for brunch.
The in-house salon, Artilla, provided ladies with TLC through blow-dry services, while the Sofitel Spa by Clarins offered relaxing foot massages and refreshing cucumber eye masks. For those seeking adrenaline, game installations by Adventure Island and TEP Factor delivered plenty of excitement.
The Brunch…
As the pre-brunch sessions wrapped up, guests adorned in their chic whites made their way to Reunion, the property’s elegant French restaurant, for a brunch to remember. An array of sumptuous French dishes served on sharing platters, alongside lavish buffets boasting cheese, desserts, starters, and salads, fueled the fun as guests mingled and sipped champagne. The ambiance was electric, thanks to a live DJ and the silky sounds of a saxophonist who elevated the vibe.
Stalls outside the brunch area invited guests to take home memorable souvenirs. The Charm Bar, featuring customizable bracelets, necklaces, and brooches, drew in crowds eager to craft personal keepsakes. Nearby, live sketch artist Fatima Raza captured the essence of guests on paper, offering them unique memorabilia to cherish.
After the Brunch…
Moving the party to Waka, the energy surged as guests enjoyed cocktails and high-energy fun. DJ Timo cranked up the tunes, inviting revelers to dance the afternoon away while sipping refreshing drinks against a backdrop of stunning sunset views. The musical experience was further enriched by a Cuban live singing duo that graced the stage towards the evening’s conclusion.
The night culminated in a whiskey masterclass led by Peter Lebese. This engaging tasting experience featured world-renowned bartender Cameron James Boyd, the former UAE & Oman World Class Winner 2022, who shared expert insights while guiding guests through the rich notes of Johnny Walker.
The Next Morning…
After a whirlwind of fun and laughter, Sunday morning focused on relaxation, rejuvenation, and recharging. A hearty breakfast spread at East Restaurant served as the perfect fuel for the day ahead. Following breakfast, a restorative poolside Hatha yoga session by Sofitel Spa by Clarins allowed guests to find their center and regain balance. The afternoon was spent lounging poolside, savoring refreshing dips, and soaking up the sun before returning to the hustle and bustle of city life.
