The establishment of the Cyprus Business Council underscores Dubai’s growing reputation as a favored destination for Cypriot businesses and investors. Recent statistics indicate that non-oil trade between Dubai and Cyprus reached an impressive AED 588 million in 2024. Additionally, by the close of the third quarter in 2025, there were 612 Cypriot companies registered as active members of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce, with 71 new memberships added in just the initial nine months of the year.

The inaugural Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Cyprus Business Council brought together key figures, including His Excellency George Papanastasiou, the Minister of Energy, Commerce, and Industry of the Republic of Cyprus. Notable attendees also included His Excellency Abdullah Ahmed Al Saleh, the Under-Secretary of the UAE Ministry of Economy and Tourism, and Maha Al Gargawi, Vice President of Business Advocacy at Dubai Chambers.
