Dubai Chamber of Commerce Strengthens Relations with Georgia
The Dubai Chamber of Commerce has recently made significant strides in fostering international business relations through a series of meetings held in Tbilisi, Georgia. During its latest trade mission, the chamber organized 294 bilateral meetings between Dubai-based companies and local Georgian businesses. This initiative is part of a broader program titled ‘New Horizons,’ designed to facilitate the global expansion of Dubai companies by identifying and unlocking opportunities in emerging markets.

This trade mission featured a delegation from 15 diverse companies based in Dubai, representing various industries such as automotive, construction, energy, food and beverages, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, industrial engineering, chemicals, and logistics. The varied sectors represented underline Dubai’s multifaceted trade landscape and its aim to connect with similar enterprises abroad.
Business Forum: “Doing Business with Georgia”
As a key component of the mission, the Dubai Chamber coordinated a business forum in Tbilisi aptly named “Doing Business with Georgia.” This event was backed by several influential organizations, including the UAE Embassy in Georgia, the Georgian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Invest in Georgia, and the Georgian Business Council. The forum served as a platform for discussion and collaboration, attracting 204 attendees which included senior officials and industry leaders eager to explore partnership opportunities.
During this forum, several notable figures addressed the audience. Irakli Nadareishvili, Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, along with UAE Ambassador to Georgia Ahmed Ebrahim Ahmed Taher Al Nuaimi, and others shared insights on how both regions could benefit from enhanced economic cooperation.
Promising Trade Growth
Recent statistics reveal that non-oil trade between Dubai and Georgia has seen impressive growth, reaching AED 2.8 billion in 2024. This represents an extraordinary 58.5 percent increase from previous years. Furthermore, the ongoing collaboration has led to a significant rise in Georgian companies becoming active members of the Dubai Chamber, totaling 114 registered companies by June 2025.

At the business forum, Dubai Chambers presented a detailed overview of Dubai’s economic environment, highlighting its competitive advantages for investors looking to expand into new markets. In a complementary presentation, Invest in Georgia showcased the country’s increasing attractiveness to global investors. The Dubai Chamber has identified several high-potential products that could be exported from Dubai to Georgia. Items like mobile phones, perfumes, vehicles, computers, textiles, and aluminum are among the most promising. In addition, Dubai-based companies are presented with significant investment opportunities in various sectors within Georgia. Key areas include transport and warehousing, tourism, food and beverage, ceramics and glass production, plastics manufacturing, and real estate.
