Exciting New Features at Expand North Star 2025

The Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy is set to unveil five innovative features at the upcoming Expand North Star 2025, a premier event for startups and investors. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the gathering, which will take place from October 12 to 15 at Dubai Harbour. As the largest event of its kind, it promises to be a significant milestone in the startup ecosystem.

New Initiatives to Foster Growth

Among the new offerings is ScaleX, designed to spotlight 100 rapidly growing tech companies. This initiative aims to connect these businesses with potential partners and investors, facilitating their expansion into the Middle East and beyond.

Another exciting addition is the Consumer Tech Zone, which will feature startups specializing in cutting-edge areas such as augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), smart health devices, and lifestyle technology. This zone is expected to attract significant attention from attendees interested in the latest technological advancements.

Focus on Sustainability and Innovation

The North Star Green Impact initiative will showcase startups dedicated to clean energy, water technology, sustainable mobility, and the circular economy. This focus reflects a growing trend in climate-tech investments in the Middle East and North Africa, which saw a remarkable 40% increase in 2023.

Additionally, the Deeptech MEA Summit will delve into topics like artificial intelligence, quantum computing, and robotics, providing a platform for thought leaders to share insights and innovations. The Digital Assets Forum will also be a key feature, gathering global experts to discuss digital currencies, tokenized assets, and risk management strategies in the financial sector.

Returning Programs and Initiatives

Several signature programs will make a return this year, including the Supernova Challenge 2.0, which boasts a $200,000 prize pool. This competition aims to encourage innovation and entrepreneurship among participants. The Corporate Arena will facilitate collaboration between enterprises and startups, fostering partnerships that can drive growth and innovation.

Youth engagement remains a priority, with platforms like YouthX Unipreneur and Emaratipreneur continuing to support young entrepreneurs in their ventures. These initiatives are designed to inspire the next generation of innovators and business leaders.

Part of a Broader Vision

Expand North Star, which first launched in 2015, is integral to Dubai’s broader strategy under the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33). This initiative aims to position the city as a global hub for innovation and technology, attracting talent and investment from around the world.

As the event approaches, anticipation is building for what promises to be an impactful gathering, showcasing the best of what the startup ecosystem has to offer. With its focus on innovation, sustainability, and collaboration, Expand North Star 2025 is set to make waves in the industry.
