Dubai Basketball made an unforgettable entrance into the EuroLeague on Tuesday night, marking a historic moment for the team and its fans. In a thrilling home game, Dubai Basketball secured a commanding 89-76 victory over the renowned Serbian team, Partizan Mozzart Bet, electrifying the crowd at the Coca-Cola Arena.

Right from the tip-off, Dubai came out firing with great intensity. Davis Bertans quickly established his presence, knocking down crucial three-pointers that helped the home team build an early lead. This sharp shooting paved the way for an impressive first quarter, as Dubai dominated the scoreboard, ending the quarter 28 to 18, clearly showcasing their intent and skill.

Despite the tough start, Partizan Mozzart Bet didn’t back down easily. They mounted a spirited comeback during the third quarter, even briefly taking the lead and putting pressure on Dubai. However, the resilience and defensive tenacity of the Dubai squad shone through. Mfiondu Kabengele emerged as a key player with a commanding performance, supported valiantly by Dwayne Bacon and Džanan Musa. Together, they helped push the team’s lead to 68-56 going into the fourth quarter.

In the final quarter, Dubai Basketball maintained their momentum with relentless energy. Their defense stifled any attempts by Partizan to close the gap, while their offense continued firing. By the end of the night, Dubai had extended their lead to a comfortable 20 points, sealing an emphatic win in their very first EuroLeague game – a feat that has sparked great excitement and pride among fans and players alike.

Head Coach Jurica Golemac expressed the significance of the win, emphasizing its impact beyond just the scoreboard. “To win at home is very important; we have a very tough schedule, but for the confidence and the knowledge that we can play with everybody if we play together, this win means a lot,” he remarked, highlighting the team’s unity and determination as key ingredients in their success.

Looking ahead, Dubai Basketball is set to face another challenging match as they prepare to travel to Monaco for their second EuroLeague clash. Following that, they will return to the Coca-Cola Arena to kick off their ABA League campaign on Monday, October 6, continuing their exciting season with high hopes and strong momentum.

The win has not only made history under the UAE flag but also energized the team’s supporters, as captured in their celebrations and social media buzz. Dubai Basketball is now poised to make waves in the EuroLeague, proving that their debut was no mere flash in the pan but a sign of great things to come.
