Ewen McDonald, the Chief Customer Officer for Civil Aerospace at Rolls-Royce, expressed enthusiasm about deepening their relationship with Air Europa, emphasizing the airline’s status as a valued customer. He highlighted the strong demand for the Airbus A350-900, noting that it plays a crucial role in the aircraft market. As Air Europa pursues fleet renewal, Rolls-Royce is excited to support this transition with their cutting-edge engine technology.

AviLease Joins Rolls-Royce’s LessorCare+ Service

In another significant move, AviLease has joined the newly launched LessorCare+ service from Rolls-Royce. Rob Watson, President of Civil Aerospace, highlighted this partnership as a testament to the quality and strength of their services. The addition of AviLease to the LessorCare+ program reflects the growing demand among lessors for detailed insights into their asset holdings. As part of their commitment to innovation, Rolls-Royce is investing £1 billion into enhancing the durability of its Trent engines, anticipating an average durability increase of 80%. Ethiopian Airlines has secured a deal for 12 Trent XWB-84 engines, earmarked to power six Airbus A350-900 aircraft. This agreement reflects an ongoing commitment to fleet modernization and operational efficiency, ensuring that Ethiopian Airlines remains competitive in a dynamic aviation landscape.

Etihad Airways Invests in Advanced Engine Technology

Etihad Airways is taking significant steps to enhance its fleet with a substantial order that includes 30 Trent 7000 engines for 15 Airbus A330 Neo aircraft, alongside 14 Trent XWB-97 engines for seven Airbus A350-1000 planes and 20 additional Trent XWB-97 engines for ten Airbus A350F freighters. Silk Way West Airlines has chosen the Trent XWB-97 engine to power two Airbus A350F freighters, further diversifying the airline’s capabilities. The Trent 7000, recognized for its reliability, exclusively powers the Airbus A330neo and has demonstrated exceptional performance since its rollout in late 2018, accumulating over three million flight hours.
