Child Safety Forum 2025: A Commitment to Protecting Childhood

A Pioneering Initiative Under Distinguished Patronage

Under the esteemed patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, the Child Safety Foundation has announced an important upcoming event: the Child Safety Forum 2025. Scheduled for November 26th, this forum will take place at the Al Jawaher Reception and Convention Centre in Sharjah. With the theme “Protect Their Innocence,” this initiative aims to gather thought leaders, specialists, and policymakers dedicated to child and family safety from both the UAE and around the world.

The backing of Sheikha Jawaher, who also serves as the Chairperson of the Sharjah Council for Family and Community, highlights Sharjah’s commitment to safeguarding children and empowering them within society. The forum will reflect the integrated vision of social development that places families at the heart of community initiatives.

A Platform for Important Discussions

Having commenced in 2019, this year marks the third edition of the Child Safety Forum. It has become an essential national platform for dialogue surrounding significant issues related to child safety. Attendees can expect in-depth discussions on various topics, including psychological well-being, social health, and the impact of digital life on children. The forum will showcase best practices and share experiences focused on child protection, empowerment, and conscious parenting.

Focus on Family and Community Engagement

The forum will consist of both specialized and plenary sessions, collectively addressing several critical issues. Among the primary topics will be the family’s vital role in creating a safe environment for children. Attendees will explore effective parenting methods aimed at fostering positive relationships and reinforcing religious and social values. It will also delve into the challenges posed by contemporary life, including digital detachment and the phenomenon of child silence.

Empowering Community Responsibility

Hanadi Al Yafei, the Director General of Child Safety, articulated the forum’s significance in reflecting Sharjah’s humanitarian commitment to child protection. She stated that the responsibility for safeguarding childhood extends beyond the immediate family to encompass the wider community. Her words resonate with a shared goal: to amplify the collective voice of children across homes and institutions, reinforcing the need for a supportive environment.

The Need for Awareness and Support

Al Yafei emphasized that this forum aims to raise community awareness in support of families striving for balance, love, and security. “A child requires more than just a quality education; they need a nurturing environment that fosters trust and safety,” she remarked. This foundational belief underscores the objective of allowing children to grow, flourish, and experience joy in their developmental years.

The Child Safety Forum 2025 is not just an event; it is a vital initiative that embodies the community’s collective responsibility to protect and enhance childhood. By bringing together experts and stakeholders, the forum aims to ensure that children’s needs are addressed holistically, paving the way for a safer and more nurturing future.
