Traveling to Dubai? Make sure to verify your passport’s expiry date before boarding. The Foreign Office advises UK nationals to ensure their passports are valid for at least six months from their intended arrival date in the UAE.
There are exceptions. If you’re entering the UAE with a residence permit or transiting without going through immigration, your passport only needs to be valid for three months beyond your arrival date.

When you arrive and go through immigration, a visa will be stamped into your passport at no cost. This visa is valid for up to 90 days within a 180-day period.
If you frequently travel between the UK and Dubai, the visa allows you to split your eligible days as long as you don’t exceed 90 days in the specified timeframe.
