Aleksa Avramovic: A New Chapter in Dubai

Aleksa Avramovic is making headlines in the basketball world as he prepares to join Dubai BC in a significant move for the upcoming Turkish Airlines EuroLeague season. This transition is particularly intriguing as Dubai is set to debut in the EuroLeague in the 2025-26 season, signaling a fresh start for both the franchise and Avramovic.

The Move to Dubai BC

Recent reports, including insights from Eurohoops’ Aris Barkas, indicate that Avramovic’s release from CSKA Moscow will involve a buyout, allowing him to sign with Dubai BC. This decision comes on the back of a fruitful period in Europe, particularly with Partizan Mozzart Bet, where he made a name for himself in the EuroLeague. Avramovic’s skill set as a combo guard will be a boon for Dubai as they look to establish themselves in a competitive league.

Performance Highlights: Season Overview

During the 2024-25 season, Avramovic showcased impressive stats while playing for CSKA Moscow. Through 55 appearances, he averaged 12.6 points per game with an efficiency of 58.5% in two-point shooting and 33.1% from beyond the arc. Alongside these scoring numbers, he contributed 3.6 assists, 2.8 rebounds, 1.3 steals, and minimal blocks per contest. His contributions helped CSKA reach the finals of the VTB United League, where they are currently tied at 1-1 with Zenit.

Prior to his stint at CSKA, Avramovic played two seasons with Partizan, averaging 8.3 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 1.7 assists in EuroLeague games, showcasing his gradual progress and growing impact on the court.

A Promising Addition to Dubai’s Roster

Avramovic’s transition to Dubai is anticipated to be a game-changer for the team. As one of the most notable signings of the summer, his experience and skills are projected to provide immediate benefits. His ability to score, alongside playmaking skills, makes him an integral part of Dubai’s ambitions to make a mark in their inaugural EuroLeague season.

Representing Serbia on the International Stage

Beyond club basketball, Avramovic has also made his mark on the international scene with the Serbian national team. His contributions were pivotal during two major tournaments: the bronze medal at the 2024 Olympic Games and a silver medal at the 2023 FIBA World Cup. These accomplishments reflect his capabilities and potential, both as a player and a leader.

Looking Ahead

As the 2025-26 EuroLeague season approaches, all eyes will be on Dubai BC and their new star, Aleksa Avramovic. His journey from Partizan to CSKA and now to a budding franchise in Dubai presents a compelling narrative of growth, ambition, and the evolving landscape of European basketball. Fans and analysts alike will be eager to see how he leverages his experience to help Dubai thrive in their new chapter.
