ADNEC Group, a subsidiary of Modon, has announced plans to host a record 297 events in the second half of 2026 across its venues in the UAE. This ambitious schedule highlights the Group’s commitment to providing exceptional event experiences in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, catering to both international visitors and local communities, as reported by Gulf Today.
The ADNEC Centre in Abu Dhabi is gearing up for one of its most extensive event seasons, reflecting the emirate’s growth as a premier destination for business and leisure tourism. Notably, 21% of the exhibitions will feature four international associations making their debut in the Middle East, further establishing Abu Dhabi as a hub for innovation and global connectivity.
The diverse range of events will cover key sectors such as energy, artificial intelligence, defence, healthcare, education, food security, finance, fashion, marine lifestyle, health and wellness, and sustainability. This variety reinforces the venue’s reputation as a centre for large-scale, world-class events.
In contrast, the ADNEC Centre in Al Ain has positioned itself as a community-centric venue, hosting events that foster local engagement through cultural exhibitions, sports events, academic celebrations, and entertainment. The upcoming months will feature a series of exhibitions, conferences, corporate meetings, graduations, and public events, enhancing its role as a gathering place in the region.
Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri, Group CEO of ADNEC Group, expressed that the upcoming season reflects the resilience of the events industry and the ongoing international confidence in Abu Dhabi as a leading hub for global gatherings. He noted that the venues are set to attract industry leaders, innovators, and policymakers from around the world.
Khalifa Al Qubaisi, Chief Commercial Officer of ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi, highlighted that the second half of 2026 will showcase the strength and diversity of their event calendars. He mentioned that the venue will host major global congresses, flagship exhibitions, cultural festivals, and community-focused events, all contributing to Abu Dhabi’s status as a leading international events destination.
Throughout July and August 2026, the ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi hosted the Abu Dhabi Summer Sports event, offering the community access to the largest indoor sporting experiences in the Middle East and North Africa. Additionally, the Money Expo took place for the first time, providing a platform for financial professionals to explore trends in banking and fintech.
As September approaches, the ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi will ramp up its activities with events such as the Middle East Film and Comic Con and the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair, both of which are expected to draw significant crowds and enhance the cultural landscape of the emirate.
