PwC says 78% of Saudi respondents align AI with business goals

Published:

PwC research presented at LEAP 2026 found that 78 percent of respondents in Saudi Arabia had aligned their artificial intelligence plans with business objectives, compared with 65 percent globally, according to Yara Abi Farraj’s report for Economy Middle East.

The figures describe respondents to PwC’s research, rather than all organisations operating in Saudi Arabia.

Cloud access and redesigned workflows

The research also found that 76 percent of Saudi respondents reported access to scalable cloud platforms with real-time data. More than half said they had redesigned workflows to incorporate AI, compared with 32 percent globally.

PwC Middle East presented the research as evidence of greater integration of AI into business operations. Its chief technology and AI officer, Bivek Sharma, said the next stage would involve embedding AI into data, systems and everyday work.

The firm was the exclusive AI and data partner at LEAP. Its regional senior partner, Laura Hinton, said business leaders were increasingly focused on the relationship between technology investments and business outcomes.

Seven cooperation agreements

Alongside the research, PwC Middle East announced seven memoranda of understanding with Saudi organisations. The report named Saudi Information Technology Company, known as SITE, THIQAH and Jethur among its collaborators.

The agreements cover areas including AI adoption, technology transformation, managed services and skills development.
