KHDA has reminded Dubai private schools to follow the Ministry of Education’s unified academic calendar for 2026–27 after some schools announced October mid-term breaks on different dates.
In a statement shared with ARN News Centre, Dubai’s Knowledge and Human Development Authority said school schedules should match the dates in the ministry’s calendar, which was issued earlier this year.
Clear dates for school communities
The authority also asked schools to publish their calendars clearly and communicate important dates to students, parents and staff. The reminder is intended to keep academic schedules consistent and help families plan for the school year.
ARN reported that some schools had initially announced October break dates that did not align with the unified calendar. KHDA’s statement reiterated that schools should use the ministry’s timetable when setting and communicating their schedules.
