The Pitcher Awards, recognized as a premier benchmark for creative excellence across Africa, has announced its 2026 winners, showcasing innovative work from various regions. This year’s edition is particularly notable as it marks the inaugural participation of entries from Mozambique and the United States, reflecting the festival’s growing international presence and its commitment to fostering creativity without borders.

A Milestone in African Creativity

Dr. Nnamdi Ndu, Chairman of the Pitcher Festival, emphasized the significance of this year’s awards. He stated that the 2026 Pitcher Awards highlight the remarkable evolution of African creativity.
