The Ras Al Khaimah Transport Authority (RAKTA) has launched an exciting new weekend public bus service known as the Yellow Route. This initiative is part of the broader Transport Master Plan 2030, aimed at enhancing mobility throughout the emirate.
The Yellow Route is designed to provide residents and visitors with a safe, reliable, and budget-friendly means of accessing some of Ras Al Khaimah’s most sought-after destinations.
Route and Schedule
This new service connects Al Jazirah Al Hamra to Jebel Jais, traveling through Al Marjan Island and making stops at major hotels and noteworthy attractions. The service will operate from Friday to Sunday starting November 28, 2025, and continuing through April 2026.
Buses will run every three hours between 6 AM and 9 PM. The first bus departs from Al Jazirah Al Hamra, while the last trip back from Jebel Jais is scheduled for 9 PM.
Key Stops Along the Route
The Yellow Route boasts 14 stops, serving numerous prominent hotels, including:
- Sofitel Al Hamra Beach Resort
- Waldorf Astoria
- Rixos Bab Al Bahr
- Mövenpick Resort Al Marjan Island
- Pullman Resort Al Marjan Island
- Rove Al Marjan Island
- Hampton by Hilton, among others
Additionally, the route connects travelers to several key attractions on Jebel Jais, such as:
- ADNOC Jebel Jais
- Bear Grylls Explorers Camp
- SAIJ Mountain Lodge
- Jais Viewing Deck Park
- 1484 by Puro restaurant
Enhanced Passenger Experience
Passengers can expect a modern travel experience, as all Yellow Route buses are equipped with the latest onboard technology and free Wi-Fi. Real-time tracking capabilities provided by RAKTA’s Smart Control and Monitoring Centre allow for trip updates through the Sayr app. Furthermore, electronic payment options streamline the travel process, ensuring convenience for everyone on board.
