In a significant show of interest, more than 1,131 applications have poured in from content creators and emerging startups across over 70 countries.

The Creators Ventures Accelerator, a collaboration between Creators HQ and 500 Global, aims to identify and nurture innovative creator-led startups. This initiative is designed to offer essential resources such as mentorship, sharing of industry knowledge, and access to investment networks. The ultimate goal is to help participants build sustainable ventures within the burgeoning global content economy, a sector that is rapidly gaining traction and significance.

The successful applicants will have the opportunity to present their projects at the upcoming 1 Billion Followers Summit, scheduled to take place from January 9 to 11, 2026. This event will occur in prominent venues, including the Emirates Towers, the Dubai International Financial Centre, and the Museum of the Future, with the overarching theme, “Content for Good.”

The Selection Process
Out of the initial pool of applicants, 609 met the criteria for the next stage of selection. This impressive group includes 347 content creators from various nations, predominantly from India, followed by Egypt, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Syria. Additionally, 262 applications were submitted by digital startups and business platforms. From this diverse array, 20 applicants will be chosen for the inaugural cohort of the accelerator.
A dedicated team of venture capitalists and digital media experts will meticulously evaluate these projects. Their assessment will focus on factors such as innovation, creativity, social and economic impact, execution quality, business planning, scalability, and potential for investment. Throughout the program, participants will benefit from tailored mentorship to foster their long-term growth.
Major Funding Opportunity
The accelerator offers a robust 10-week training program that combines the operational know-how of 500 Global with a focus on advancing the creator economy. During this intensive course, 20 program participants will have the chance to showcase their ideas on stage. The progression will see 10 participants advance to the semifinals, and from there, three finalists will be selected.
The winners, announced on the final day of the summit, will not only gain recognition but also receive investment opportunities and funding of up to AED 50 million from Creators HQ and industry partners.
