Key Developments in Abu Dhabi’s Industrial Landscape
Abu Dhabi, UAE – 2PointZero Group (ADX: 2POINTZERO), a prominent investment holding firm based in Abu Dhabi, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ISEM Packaging S.r.l., an Italian packaging manufacturer, and KEZAD Group, part of AD Ports Group. This agreement aims to explore the establishment of a regional packaging manufacturing facility in Abu Dhabi.
The MoU was formalized during the Make it in the Emirates forum at ADNEC, emphasizing the alignment of the proposed facility with the United Arab Emirates’ industrial strategy and the In-Country Value (ICV) framework overseen by the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology. The collaboration will focus on defining the operational, regulatory, and technical requirements for the new facility within KEZAD, which is poised to become a European-standard packaging hub for sectors such as perfume, beauty, luxury gifting, and confectionery across the UAE and the wider Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).
Strategic Importance of KEZAD
KEZAD has been identified as a priority location for the proposed manufacturing facility, with further steps to be determined shortly. This site will serve as ISEM’s regional manufacturing hub, catering to the UAE and GCC markets. The establishment of this facility is expected to enhance local supply chains and support the UAE’s industrial growth.
Mohamed Al Khader, CEO of Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi – KEZAD Group, noted that high-end packaging is a specialized manufacturing segment that necessitates precision, skilled production, and reliable infrastructure. He expressed confidence in Abu Dhabi as a competitive base for high-value industrial activities, highlighting KEZAD as an integrated platform for global manufacturers to establish and scale operations efficiently.

ISEM, headquartered in Trecate, Italy, is recognized as a leading European manufacturer of packaging solutions, serving prestigious clients in the luxury, beauty, and confectionery sectors. The proposed facility in Abu Dhabi will extend ISEM’s European operational model to the GCC region for the first time, allowing for shorter lead times and locally manufactured supplies for regional customers.

The MoU is non-binding and signifies the mutual intent of the parties to advance the opportunity through subsequent definitive agreements, subject to internal approvals and the confirmation of KEZAD as the selected location.
