Saif bin Zayed Inaugurates 9th International Exhibition for National Security and Resilience, Strengthening Global Security Collaboration
Abu Dhabi witnessed the inauguration of the 9th edition of the International Exhibition for National Security and Resilience (ISNR) 2026, the largest in its history, by H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior. The event, which runs until May 21, 2026, at the ADNEC Centre, aims to enhance national security capabilities through collaboration among global government entities, law enforcement agencies, and specialists.
Launch of the Abu Dhabi Global Sustainable Security Summit
In conjunction with the exhibition, Sheikh Saif bin Zayed also launched the inaugural Abu Dhabi Global Sustainable Security Summit 2026. This summit, organized by the Ministry of Interior and Rabdan Academy in partnership with ADNEC Group, gathers leaders and experts worldwide to discuss pressing issues in security, readiness, and sustainability.
The exhibition, themed “Securing Tomorrow Today,” serves as a vital platform for knowledge exchange and cooperation among various stakeholders, including government entities and law enforcement agencies. It aims to address national security challenges on both regional and international levels.
Showcasing Advanced Security Solutions
Following the inauguration, Sheikh Saif bin Zayed toured the exhibition, where he explored the latest advancements in security technology. These included solutions for monitoring critical facilities, cybersecurity measures, and innovations in civil defense and emergency services.
During his visit to the National Guard stand, he was briefed on the Al-Toud heavy search and rescue vehicle, designed for multiple operations, including search and rescue in confined spaces and reinforcing damaged structures. This vehicle is equipped to handle emergencies such as road accidents and swift water rescues.
Additionally, Sheikh Saif bin Zayed reviewed advanced systems from the Supreme Council for National Security, including the Abu Dhabi Monitoring and Control Centre and the Falcon Eye system. This system integrates various surveillance cameras into a unified monitoring framework, enhancing the capabilities of central operations rooms.
Innovations in Security Technology
The exhibition featured mobile operations rooms and aerial monitoring technologies, which are crucial for securing major events and areas lacking fixed surveillance infrastructure. These innovations provide real-time data to support various security sectors.
Sheikh Saif bin Zayed also visited the INKAS stand, where he examined a range of armoured mobility solutions tailored to address contemporary security threats. Furthermore, he reviewed advanced security technologies from Eye on Technology, which focus on creating a more integrated and adaptable security system.
At the Presight exhibition stand, he learned about the latest artificial intelligence solutions, including the Agentic AI assistant system, which supports anti-narcotics operations and enhances overall police efficiency. The display also included a drone from Streit Group.
Strategic Importance of the Summit
Major General Dr. Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, Chairman of the Higher Organising Committee of ISNR 2026, emphasized the exhibition’s role as a strategic platform for exchanging knowledge and fostering partnerships in the security sector. He noted that the event has evolved into a global forum that shapes policies and drives innovation in security readiness.
Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri, Group CEO of ADNEC Group, highlighted the significance of this edition, stating that it reinforces Abu Dhabi’s position as a global hub for security innovation. He affirmed that ISNR 2026 embodies the UAE’s vision for a safer and more prepared future.
The summit commenced with a keynote address from Lieutenant General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior of Bahrain. He underscored the importance of the UAE hosting this summit, viewing security as an investment in people rather than merely a procedural obligation. He pointed out that sustainable security requires a long-term strategic vision rooted in moderation and the rule of law.
Focus on Technology and Governance
Abdulla bin Mohammed bin Butti Al Hamed, Chairman of the National Media Authority, addressed the changing nature of security risks and opportunities. He remarked that contemporary security is measured not just by response capabilities but by the ability to predict and adapt through technology integration.
The summit featured a panel discussion titled “Commanding the Future: How Nations Secure Stability in an AI-Driven World,” which examined the evolving concept of national security amid technological advancements. Participants included senior officials from the Ministry of Interior and various police departments.
Another session, “Inside the Command Room: Strategic Decisions in an AI-Enabled Crisis,” focused on the role of technology in crisis management. Experts discussed how advanced analytics can support command centers during emergencies.
Cybersecurity and Future Challenges
In the Circle of Resilience sessions, discussions led by Dr. Mohammed Al Kuwaiti, Head of Cyber Security for the UAE Government, addressed the challenges of cybersecurity and the importance of investing in national capabilities. The session highlighted the need for a collective approach to security that involves various institutions and society.
The first day concluded with a strategic roundtable on AI-Enabled Crisis Governance, alongside workshops focusing on artificial intelligence and data analysis in security.
