Presight Partners with Azerbaijan to Advance National AI Strategy

Introduction to the Collaboration

Presight, a prominent artificial intelligence (AI) and big data analytics firm based in Abu Dhabi, is set to play a crucial role in supporting Azerbaijan’s national AI strategy. This partnership aims to integrate AI into various sectors, particularly education, marking a significant step in Azerbaijan’s digital transformation journey.

Strategic Agreements Signed

During a recent official visit by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, Presight signed two Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with the Azerbaijani government. These agreements were formalized by Dr. Sultan Al Jaber, Chairman of Presight, and involve collaboration with both the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport and the Ministry of Science and Education.

Focus on AI Strategy 2025–2028

The first MoU, established with the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, is centered around the implementation of Azerbaijan’s AI Strategy for the years 2025 to 2028. Under this agreement, Presight will offer consulting services related to AI strategy, assist in deploying advanced AI technologies, and support various government initiatives aimed at digital transformation. Additionally, the partnership will focus on nurturing AI talent, fostering startups, and promoting innovation throughout the country.

Enhancing Education with AI

The second MoU, signed with the Ministry of Science and Education, is dedicated to the integration of AI in educational settings. This initiative will explore the development and deployment of AI-driven educational solutions, including AI tutors designed to assist students and AI assistants to support educators. A key aspect of this agreement is the integration of Azerbaijani language models, ensuring that the educational tools are tailored to the local context.

Insights from Leadership

Thomas Pramotedham, CEO of Presight, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “Presight is proud to partner with Azerbaijan in advancing its national AI strategy and in reimagining the future of education through cutting-edge technologies.” He emphasized the transformative potential of AI, noting that it serves as a catalyst for economic and societal progress, creating new opportunities for future generations.

Pramotedham highlighted that these agreements represent a significant opportunity to leverage AI for nation-building and digital transformation. He stated, “Together, we are shaping pathways to innovation, talent development, and long-term prosperity that will deliver immense benefits to Azerbaijan.”

Strengthening UAE-Azerbaijan Relations

These MoUs are not just about technology; they also symbolize the strengthening ties between the UAE and Azerbaijan. This collaboration builds upon the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) signed in July of this year, which lays the groundwork for enhanced cooperation across various strategic sectors, including technology, innovation, and education.

Conclusion

The partnership between Presight and Azerbaijan marks a pivotal moment in the country’s journey towards embracing AI and digital transformation. By focusing on both governmental initiatives and educational advancements, this collaboration aims to create a robust framework for innovation and growth, ultimately benefiting the nation as a whole.
