The United Arab Emirates (UAE) and India are actively exploring expanded cooperation in tourism, trade, and investment sectors, as highlighted by UAE Minister of Economy and Tourism H.E. Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri during a recent bilateral meeting. This meeting took place at the ministry’s headquarters in Dubai with H.E. Shri Mohan Charan Majhi, Chief Minister of the Indian state of Odisha. Al Marri noted that the relationship between the two nations is continuously evolving, driven by a shared vision to strengthen their strategic partnership, particularly in economic and tourism domains, as reported by Economy Middle East.

During the discussions, both parties reviewed key areas for collaboration, including tourism, food industries, logistics, manufacturing, energy, technology, and the new economy. Al Marri encouraged the Indian delegation to take advantage of the UAE’s competitive economic landscape, which offers diverse opportunities, advanced infrastructure, and strategic incentives aimed at fostering business growth.
He also highlighted Odisha’s significant coastal location and its diverse industrial base, which, combined with abundant natural resources and logistics capabilities, make it an attractive destination for UAE businesses. This partnership is expected to open new avenues for mutual business activities.

In the realm of tourism, the two sides discussed enhancing their partnership through mutual promotion of destinations and tourism services. They explored increasing the exchange of tourism delegations and sharing best practices, with a focus on encouraging investment in hospitality and sustainable tourism.
